KELLY MACDONALD (Mary O'Neary) was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She was chosen from an open audition to play Diane in Danny Boyle's TRAINSPOTTING. She has also appeared in STELLA DOES TRICKS, COUSIN BETTE, MY LIFE SO FAR, ELIZABETH, THE LOSS OF SEXUAL INNOCENCE, SPLENDOR, ENTROPY, HOUSE!, and SOME VOICES. She can next be seen in Peter Capaldi's STRICTLY SINATRA. Onstage, Kelly played Donna in HURLYBURLY at the Old Vic. On the radio, she played Mary in Pete Townshend's drama with music LIFE HOUSE for BBC Radio. Kelly was selected for Shooting Stars European Film Promotion at the 1999 Berlin Film Festival.
